A Warm Welcome at Norwich Deaf Community Centre - Spring is just around the corner!
We welcome back Norfolk Deaf Children's Society, who will be holding regular Saturday meetings again at the Norwich Deaf Community Centre. They will be storing their toys etc in a second shed in the garden. We look forward to seeing them around.
The Deaf History Group has met for the first time, and will meet again on 10 February. If you have an interest in Deaf history, or if you are deaf and would like to research your own family tree, do come along.
The English course will meet at the Norwich Deaf Community Centre. Judith Nicholls will be teaching the course.
The second Ist Aid Course for Deaf People will be on Monday 22 February. Please tell Julie Dwyer if you are interested. There will be BSL interpreters and communicators, and lunch is included.
The Fire Safety talk at the Red Cross Centre in Great Yarmouth will be on 24 February at 11am. There will be a BSL interpreter.
Thursday Open Door now open at 10am and close at 12.30pm. We hope this will fit in better with the centre open times.

We now have internet access at the Deaf Centre on broadband. This means that we can use the internet at any time. Deaf Connexions pays for this. You do not have to pay for use the internet.
We will put laptop computers out for deaf people to use. Please ask Julie if you would like to use one. She will ask you to sign your name and time you start. Please only use computers for short time. Lots of deaf people want to use computers. Please share time!
If you have your own laptop computer and you would like to bring it to the deaf club
to use it there, you can do so. You do not have to pay. Please ask Julie.
She will show you how to connect it. Please bring your own cable.
We do not have a printer for deaf people to use yet. Please ask Julie if you really want to print something from computer and she will try to help.
We will set up internet café in bar lounge when we have finish re -decoration.
We will ask volunteers to be at Deaf Centre to help with computers if problems. They will help you.
